After School Program

YMCA After School for Wake Forest Charter Academy is held from school dismissal until 6 p.m. at the Kerr Family YMCA. Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities led by responsible, fun YMCA staff. 

Our After School curriculum includes opportunities for art, STEM, social-emotional learning, physical activity and more! Homework is an optional activity. Early release days are included.

Students are transported to the Kerr Family YMCA at the end of the school day.

Kids in our programs spend their time expanding the school day through active play and our proprietary SCALED Learning™ curriculum that augments what they’re learning in school.

Projects engage kids in science, technology, engineering and math to practice academic skills, critical thinking, and promote investigation, inquiry and discovery.

Activities introduce different careers and the paths to get there. Activities may include visits from professionals in the field.

Family Nights Are Back!

Family Nights are back at YMCA After School programs. Once a semester, join YMCA counselors and your kids for a fun evening of activities, food and fellowship.
