YMCA of the Triangle is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
Programs reliant on donor funding include financial aid for membership and youth programs, camp scholarships, Swim for Life, some evidence-based Y Health programs and so much more.

While membership fees help us to maintain our health and fitness facilities, charitable gifts support a variety of free and essential community programs for youth and families.
You can direct your gift to a specific branch or camp, but not to individual programs. Each branch uses annual campaign funds where they’re needed most — from child care and swim lessons to youth and health programs — ensuring every neighbor has access to essential support.
You can include the Y in your estate plans by naming us in your will or trust, designating the Y as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy, or establishing a planned gift such as a charitable gift annuity. You may also give through a Donor‑Advised Fund or by donating stock or securities. Our team can help you explore the option that best fits your goals.
Of course. When you make your donation, simply choose the “tribute gift” option. You’ll be able to provide the name of the individual being honored and request that a notification be sent to the honoree or to the family of the deceased.
