After School Program
YMCA After School at Barton Pond Elementary is held from school dismissal until 6 p.m. Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities led by responsible, fun YMCA staff.
Our After School curriculum includes opportunities for art, STEM, social-emotional learning, physical activity and more! Homework is an optional activity. Early release days are included.
Before School Program
YMCA Before School art Barton Pond Elementary is a fun, structured start to your child’s day. The program is held Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. until the first bell when school begins.
SCALED Learning™
Kids in our programs spend their time expanding the school day through active play and our proprietary SCALED Learning™ curriculum that augments what they’re learning in school.
STEM
Projects engage kids in science, technology, engineering and math to practice academic skills, critical thinking, and promote investigation, inquiry and discovery.
Career-Connected Learning
Activities introduce different careers and the paths to get there. Activities may include visits from professionals in the field.
Arts
Activities allow kids hands-on experiences to explore different art techniques and media while creatively expressing themselves.
Literacy
Activities engage kids in reading aloud and discussion, creative writing, Reader’s Theater and word games to help promote academic skills and expression.
Education
All activities offered by the Y support educational growth, whether embedded in our fun activities or providing homework help.
Diversity and Global Learning
Activities support youth in learning about different cultures, exploring perspectives and celebrating all people.
Cost & Payment Options
Convenient 2, 3, 4 or 5-day options may be available. Register for the whole school year with a monthly draft, or sign up each week. Prices below are for a 5-day week.

When you go to register for Before or After School, you can choose fewer days per week. Once you reach your cart, you can review the final price.
Please note that your cost per day will increase for 2-, 3-, or 4-day-per-week care.
The YMCA provides the best Before and After School programs, experiences, and activities when kids are in our care five days per week. However, we also understand that many kids and families may only need care for some of the week.
We provide families with the flexibility to choose the days of care they need each week.
If you need Before and After School programs for the whole school year, purchasing the program at the yearly price can be a significant savings.
Remember, you can choose your draft date and we draft in equal amounts each month.
Family Nights Are Back!
Family Nights are back at YMCA After School programs. Once a semester, join YMCA counselors and your kids for a fun evening of activities, food and fellowship.
